Packaging is especially important for coffee and aromatic products. Freshly roasted coffee releases gas and often needs a degassing valve. At the same time, the packaging must prevent oxygen from entering and spoiling the aroma.

Compostable pouches can work for certain applications, but they do not always achieve the same barrier properties as modern recyclable or aluminum-free barrier packaging. Therefore, we often recommend recyclable stand-up pouches with the right barrier and valve for coffee. This keeps the aroma protected while remaining a more sustainable choice.
